7 NATURAL HAIR TIPS

There can never be too much tips for a natural hair journey so I have put together a few that I believe every natural sister out there should know.

1. Always use Conditioner after every Shampooing

It is absolutely necessary that you condition your hair after Shampooing because washing with shampoo stripes the hair of minerals and natural oils, this Conditioner helps replace these minerals and also restore the hairs normal pH level making the hair softer and easier to comb. It also helps the hair to retain moisture hence preventing further tangling.

2. Use Live in Conditioners

Live in Conditioners provides the hair with necessary moisture, this help to prevent hair breakage because once your hair is too dry, its starts to break out. It is important to note that it's not advisable to comb dry hair.

3. Seal the moisturized hair with natural oils

After applying your live in Conditioners, don't forget to seal in the moisture in the hair using natural oils like coconut oil or virgin olive oil. This helps retain the moisture for a longer time keeping your hair healthy.

4. Trim hair regularly to get rid of split ends

Split ends are normal and the only way to deal with them is to trim your hair, ain't no avacado or bread honey mixture gonna replace a nice lil trim. So regular trims aids healthy hair growth.

5. Drink lots of Water

Healthy hair requires lots of moisture. Apart from the moisture we apply on the hair, water intake helps the body produce its own moisture which in turn helps the hair grow effectively.

6. Embrace Shrinkage and accept that our hair has the tendency to curl

Shrinkage might be disappointing for many but it's not necessarily a bad thing, it just shows our hair have great elasticity. As much as you want your hair to just be all over the place, you have to accept that our hair curls and shrinks easily.

7. Be patient

To me this is the most important tip of all because most people complain of their hair not growing or being stock at the same length. It will be good to know that our hair only grows an average of 1/2 an inch per month and some a little slower so do not be in a hurry it will eventually get there in due time.
Yes there may be a few hair growth products out there but be careful what you apply on your hair to avoid serious damage.
